Description

Worlds Pattern Covered Butter clear EAPG.
Bryce Higbee & Company 1885.The glass is clear and any colors you see in the photographs are reflections from indoors where I photographed the piece.
The covered butter has the mold marks and straw marks and bubbles common in this era of glassware. Good color and clarity and impression from the mold is excellent. This covered butter has damage, but this is a very rare pattern. There is a small flat chip on the circular top of the knob and on the very top of two of the first row of convex design elements on the knob. There is also a sizable chip on one of the eight columns of raised diamonds on the lid. The base has a sizable chip on the flange and a small flat chip on one of the top surfaces of the perimeter scallops. There are multiple small chips on the base to the raised design elements.
