This vintage latch hook wall hanging is designed to resemble a still life painting.
Vibrant and colorful like a beautiful stained glass window, the simplified forms of a mandolin, red vase, bowl of fruit and blue jug are represented in the design.
The style of this piece hints at cubism, modernism, and abstract collage, with influence from the works of Picasso, Hennie Niemann Junior, and others.
It is a unique, rare and hard-to-find, hand-hooked textile, to which Mrs. Edna has not found another one like it.
The original pattern design was applied/painted to the canvas, which can be seen through the yarn to the backing.
This item does not include wood dowels or staves to support the rug for wall display - making it easier for Mrs. Edna to ship to you!
This item is in very good preowned vintage condition.
