Silver Age is a great pattern with wonderful detail on the coins and is very rare to scarce. This butter dish is a great piece, even with it's flaws.
Silver Age was produced for 8 short months at the Central Glass and Hobbs factories of US Glass. The molds were destroyed in early June 1892 (according to legend the US Treasury wasn't happy with the coins which are exceptional) and 15005 1/2 aka Columbia Coin was introduced for the Worlds Fair.
Some pieces of the pattern were reproduced in the 1980's which are easily spotted by their lack of detail in the coins, lower glass clarity and smooth finish (repros tend to have a wavy appearance).
The original covered butter dishes features a Morgan Dollar finale, 6 Seated Liberty Half Dollars on the lid panels, 4 Morgan Dollars on the corners of the base and another Morgan Dollar in the bases center.
