Ultra Rare and Early C.1910 Carter Steuben shape #3323 Banded Green Overlay Candlestick Engraved In "Etruscan" Pattern. Banded overlay was a very difficult technique which resulted in very few of these pieces being produced. In all my internet research I could only find one other photo of an example, thats on the Carter Steuben Collectors Club website, not on Worthpoints 2,737 listings for "Steuben Candlesticks" (I looked through every one twice and read the discription of every item with no photographs to make sure) going back to 2007, not on Corning glass museums web site either. This is an exceptionally rare, Museum quality piece that hasn't come up for auction in at least 15 years! It would make an exceptional addition to any Steuben collection and the crown jewl of most!!. You can see the form number and sketch on page "161" of "The Glass of Fredrick Carter" by "Paul V. Gardner". Condition is "Excellent" with no damage however does have some very light surface scraches and some shelf ware to the Hex foot which is acid signed "STEUBEN". It measures 10" tall and 5" wide across the foot. Shipped Insured with USPS Priority Mail. I know the shipping cost is l little high, this is due to it being shipped in a 12x12x15 box for safe delivery, that will result a dimentional charge from the USPS. Happy bidding and good luck!
