Rare 1920's FREDERICK CARDER Steuben Verre de Soie Covered Dish w/ Pear Finial. This technique making of this glass was called silk glass. One of the most important makings of glass. This style of glass is referenced in the FREDERICK CARDER AND HIS STEUBEN GLASS 1903-1933. THIS COVERED DISH MEASURES 3 1/2" HIGH WITHOUT COVER. MEASURES 4 3/4" WIDE. UNSIGNED. NO CHIPS OR CRACKS. VERY NICE SHAPE. THERE IS A MARK ACROSS THE SIDE OF DISH. IT IS NOT A SCRATCH, THIS HAPPENS ON THIS FROSTED OR SILK GLASS. STILL A SUPER NICE AND RARE PIECE.
