Pineider writes the future of writing instruments with the introduction of Ultra Resin (UR). In the 1920's, celluloid was adopted as a pen material to prevent common breakages from drops. The material is expensive to produce, has a poor resistance to heat, and may crystallize over time. To improve upon the beloved celluloid, Dante del Vecchio developed a new material that is incredibly resistant to hits, extreme temperatures, UV rays, and any weathering condition. The Florentine craftsman polish the translucent colors of the UR Demonstrator to clearly see through the pen. The resulting product is the gorgeous, hard-wearing Pineider Avatar UR Demo collection.
Like the virtual world, “Avatar” stands for the alter ego. This Italian pen collection from Pineider aims to be the writer’s extension of themselves. Whether you ghost-write under a pseudonym or bare yourself to all in your words, the hope is that this pen will be the vehicle that manifests your creativity on paper. The marine steel clip is an interpretation of the goose quill and has a sturdy, spring-loaded mechanism to allow you to clip it securely to pockets, notebooks, papers and the like. The pen’s center band ring is inspired by the skyline of Florence, which is the origin city of the Pineider brand.The Avatar UR Demo provides a new level of writing comfort to the design with a soft rubber grip section.
