I found the third valve slide ring after taking the pictures, so it IS included. All slides move freely, valves are smooth. I have oiled them with Ultra Pure black label classic valve oil. oil for vintage horns is recommended. Case is a bit rough (scratches and scrapes), but structurally sound. Hinges and latches all work as they should. there is a slight metallic smell to the instrument and case.

    Description

Bb Olds Ambassador trumpet. Made in the Fullerton factory in 1969. Search the internet and you will see lots of praise for the Olds Ambassador! it is a fantastically sturdy and reliable horn for a beginning student. You will not be rushing to your instrument repair tech every month like you might with the super cheap new trumpets. This is an instrument that can be easily repaired and holds its repairs! This horn has a fair amount of lacquer loss but still plays, and won't hold you back. All slides move easily, the valves move smoothly. All parts that should move, do move. The original sturdy case has some scuffs and scrapes but the hinges and clasps work as they should. The case has some interior wear where the bottom valve caps have rubbed against the case lining. The worn spot was covered with a piece of duct tape but that fell off. I have not replaced it leaving the option of how you to cover that spot up to you. The horn comes with an Olds 3C mouthpiece that is a bit ugly, but the rim is minimally scratched and is quite playable. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description. Please feel free to ask me any questions, or to ask for additional photos. This trumpet is quite playable as it is, but could probably benefit from a trip to a professional tech in the next six months or year. I have used Ultra Pure Black Label Classic valve oil in it, and recommend continuing the use of oil intended for vintage horns. I found the third slide ring after taking the pictures, so please know that this part IS included. There is a slight odor to the case and horn. I would say it is a metallic smell, not mold. USA sales only. No returns unless I have grossly misdescribed this item. Buyer pays return shipping and the item must be in the condition in which I sent it out. Please read my feedback and bid with confidence.
