This elaborate Montegrappa Rollerball Pen Features a stunning replica of the Saturn V rocket ship in white pearlised resin with sterling silver trim and embellished with enamel. The "USA" legend and the American flag are laser-cut and enamel filled and the pen's cap features a silver “lost-wax” signature clip cast in the form of the stairway structure that supported the rocket. Complete with red enamel, the blind cap features the engine's exhaust nozzles. The 18k Gold nib has an Apollo 11 insignia. Montegrappa, in a licensed collaboration with Nasa, has produced a collection of limited edition pens to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing and humankind's first step on the Moon. There are 365 fountain pens in the collection, the number indicating the Saturn V vertical height in feet. There are 110 rollerballs because 110m is the equivalent of 365ft. This fountain pen rests in a spectacular lunar landing site diorama, the ultimate tribute to the 20th century’s crowning technological achievement. . The Length is 6.25".
