    Description

    Los Angeles Olds Special Trumpet with Olds 3 Mouthpiece and Gard Gig Bag.
    Trumpet: it has a combination of original lacquer and raw brass. Recent ultrasonic cleaning and new corks, felts, springs installed. All pipes are straight and strong. Valves, caps, spit keys, slides, etc all work well. Good compression pops when slides are pulled and when valves are depressed. Previous front lead pipe brace repair. Original brace is still there and is strong and secure - it was not replaced. There is observable evidence of repair - see pic. Plays very well. Clear crisp engraving on bell flare. Good valve and slide action. Plays open and free.
    Case - Gard gig bag is in very good condition and is fully functional.
    Mouthpiece - the Olds 3 mouthpiece is in good condition and matches well with the horn. The rim has light pitting. The shank bottom is round. There are two significant and highly visible plier marks on the shank. But that’s just cosmetic. It plays well.
    Overall - this is a good solid vintage horn that plays well and is ready to go out of the box. For a few hundred bucks it’s hard to do much better.
