    Description

JEFFERSON GLASS CRYSTAL OPTIC PATTERN ENAMEL FLORAL DECORATION TOOTHPICK HOLDER
A beautiful piece of early American made glass in the form of a lovely little pattern glass toothpick holder.
It is a quality piece of pressed glass and was made by the Jefferson Glass formerly of Steubenville, Ohio.
It is made in a crystal or clear colored glass and hand decorated with a single pink & white daisy and accompanying greenery all done in enamel.
This one is decorated with gold trim around the rim as well.
This toothpick pattern is called simply “Jefferson Optic” and does have a ribbed optic pattern in the glass.
This pattern, in this same color and decoration, is pictured in the book
    Glass Toothpick Holders: Second Edition
by Neila & Tom Bredehoft and Jo & Bob Sanford on page 112.
It is a very nice example and gorgeous as you can see from the photos!
I do my best to describe all items as accurately as possible and to the best of my ability.
Some of my photos may be somewhat lighter or darker than actual to better show detail or color.
However, do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, comments, or with requests for additional pictures.
I will get back to you as soon as I am able.
I want your transaction with me to be exactly the way I want mine to be when I am the buyer.
    Age and Condition
This piece dates to circa 1910.
It is in excellent original condition.
Please look closely at the photos as they are an important part of my description of this item.
There are no flea bites, chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs.
There is some wear to the gold that I would expect to see on a 100+ year old piece of glass (see the photos).
Please keep in mind these photos may be blown up at least 8-10 times normal, so anything you see will look 8-10 times larger in the photos than it really is.
Please note: if you see a dark spot in the photos it is from my camera and is not a mark on the piece.
It will be either just to the right of center towards the bottom or slightly above center on the right side of the photo.
    Approximate Dimensions
About 1.75” (4.4 cm) in diameter and sits about 2.25” (5.7 cm) off the table.
    Approximate Weight
    About 2.25 ounces (61 grams).
    SALES TAX
I am required to charge 6.5% Ohio State Sales Tax on all purchases shipped to an address within the State of Ohio.
