    Description

This is a circa 1976 poster from Hoxie's Great American Circus from the showgrounds in Tazewell, Virginia. Hoxie changed the name to Great American Circus after they became a more well known outfit. The Great American Circus name was given to units that toured smaller towns across the south. This particular poster billed Kongo the Gorilla who was the first gorilla in nearly 20 years who had toured with any circus across the nation. The poster does have condition issues with a 3" crease at top right portion of poster and does have a nail hole at center top edge. Overall the poster does have good color throughout and would be a nice candidate for framing. Poster is 22' tall and 14" wide....contact me with any other concerns.
