    Description

    Grueby large earthenware vase with alternating modeling of 7 leaves and 7 flower buds with well fired leathery cucumber glaze coverage.   Impressed 'Grueby Pottery Boston U.S.A' mark used from 1898-1909 on underside of vase with incised artist initials 'WP' for Wilhelmina Post in addition to shape and size designation number '36 A'.  Vase is 9 1/2" inches in height and 7 1/2" in diameter at shoulder.
    Vase will be double boxed for shipping and any overpayment of shipping charge will be refunded to the buyer. Signature will be required by USPS upon delivery of package.

    As an update, I have provided in the last four photos of this listing a photo of this vase form that was incorporated by Tiffany Studios in their design of a leaded glass lamp that recently appeared for sale on the internet.  This listed vase form is identical to the one in this lamp assembly in shape and size designation as well as being by the artist Wilhelmina Post.
