From Olds catalogue: "A custom made instrument, the newly styled SPECIAL is distinctively Olds in every respect. The bore is ideal for general band and orchestra use, and produces rich tone - easy and free blowing in every register. The valve action is featherlite with caps set low for freedom and rapid passages, outside slide tubing is of nickel silver. Bracing on the SPECIAL Trumpet is a functional design for strength, lightness and unusually fine balance"
Technical condition:
valves and slides move smoothly and lightly, very good compression, especially with a thick oil for vintage instruments
Visual condition:
no dents, no dings, lacquer finish: about 10% remains, scratches, discoloration and loss of lacquer, valves have discoloration and abrasions
Finish:
lacquered instrument, original lacquer finish
