    Description

This is an Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG)
clear glass 56 oz pitcher in the Dart and Convex Band (also known as Web Handle) pattern. The maker is unknown.  It was produced circa 1870's. The pitcher stands about 7 3/8th inch tall (at the tip of the spout), about 4 7/8th inches across the top, and about 5 3/8th inches across the bottom.
    There are
no chips, cracks or repairs.  The glass is clear and healthy with no clouding
fogging of the glass. There are some straw marks and air bubbles in the glass.  These are common in pieces made in this era.  There are a lot of air bubbles in the handle as shown in the 7th and 8th photo.  I also noticed a bubble at the top of the handle as shown in 6th photo.  The bottom is scuffed from being slide on the resting surface which attest for its age. This piece is heavy at 3 pounds 9 oz before packing.   The pattern is simple and complete. This piece looks as if it was lightly used or used for display only.  Please review the pictures because they are part of the description.  I have loaded them in the detail option so you can blow them up from a detail look at an area.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.  Look at my other items and take advantage of reduced postage with combined shipping.    Shop with confidence, my feedback supports my customer satisfaction and quality of my products. Thanks for looking!
