    Description

Offered for sale is a beautiful
antique glass MINIATURE OIL LAMP, made by Consolidated Lamp & Glass Co.
The pattern is called DAISY, aka COSMOS.  It's the same pattern as Consolidated's Wild Rose, but for their line of lamps, the company chose the name Daisy instead.
It comes complete with the lamp base, shade, burner, and chimney.  Base and shade are made of white milk glass, with raised-relief floral details decorated in pastel pink, blue, and yellow, shown in detail in picture 6 (shade) and 7 (base).  The burner is a brass-plated metal, and the chimney is clear glass.  All parts appear to be original.  The Cosmos pattern was introduced in 1896.
The lamp stands 8 1/2 inches (21.6cm) tall when assembled.  The shade measures 4 inches (10.2cm) in diameter at the wide open end. and the base is 3 3/4 inches (9.5cm) across the widest part.  A U.S. quarter is shown in the third picture, to give an accurate impression of the size at a glance.
Lamp is in good to excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, scratches, or repairs.  The painted details are intact, with no visible wear or fading.  Minor roughness is present at the edges of the lamp shade (picture 6).  The brass finish of the burner shows very slight corrosion and wear, consistent with its age.
