Offered in this sale is a very nice frosted and clear early American pressed glass covered footed oval compote or bowl molded with the Westward Ho pattern that I believe is a later version of the original pattern made by Gillinder glass in the late 1800s. The glass is clear and frosted and features a native American Indian as a cover finial. It measures roughly 9" tall x 6" long x 4" wide. On one side of the bowl is a relief molded pattern of a log cabin and buffalo and on the other there are a couple of deer. The condition is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or restoration.
Please be sure to enlarge and zoom each image for a close up view of the detail of the decoration and condition. Do not hesitate to send me a message if you have questions or would like additional images.
I always guarantee everything that I sell to be as described. This piece is being sold without a reserve as long as there is an opening bid. The shipping cost within the United States is .00. Assuming this is indeed the later L G Wright version of this model it still is a scarce item.
