    Description

Offered for your consideration is a clear glass butter dish made by the United States Glass Company (1891-1962) in their number 15055 "Minnesota" pattern. Issued as part of their States series, this pattern is also known as "Muchness", and was introduced in 1898.
The base measures 8 inches (20.3 cm) in diameter and is 1.25 inches (3.2 cm) tall. The lid is 5 inches (12.7 cm) in diameter and 4.5 inches (11.4 cm) tall. Combined height is 5.5 inches (14 cm) tall to top of finial.
This butter dish is in excellent used condition with no cracks, noticeable scratches, roughness, nor repairs. Butter dish base has a chip on outer edge of rim. The gold trim is brilliant but may have minimal wear and be worn or missing in a few places. Butter dish is used so there may be light surface scratches and minor wear from use. See photos. The glass is bright and clear with no cloudiness, discoloration, nor lime scale present. There are bubbles within the glass, and there may be shear (straw) marks and other minor imperfections due to the manufacturing process used at the time.
Butter dish and lid will be shipped from a smoke-free home and packed securely for shipping.
Good luck and thank you for your interest.
