    Description

    Offered for your consideration is a clear glass cake stand/salver made by the United States Glass Company (1891-1962) in their number 15053 "Louisiana" pattern. Issued as part of their States series, this pattern is also known as "Granby" or "Sharp Oval and Diamond", and was introduced in 1898.
    The cake stand measures 9.5 inches (24.1 cm) in diameter (inside rim), 10 inches (25.4 cm) overall diameter, and is 5.5 inches (14 cm) tall.
    This cake stand is in excellent used condition with no cracks, chips, noticeable scratches, roughness, nor repairs. Cake stand is used so there may be very faint surface scratches, minor wear, and other indications of use. See photos. The glass is bright and clear with no cloudiness, discoloration, nor lime scale present. There are bubbles within the glass, and there may be a shear (straw) mark and other minor imperfections due to the manufacturing process used at the time.
