    Description

Offered for your consideration is a beautiful clear glass open jelly compote
    made by Ripley & Company
(1875-1891) in their "Dakota" pattern. Also known as "Baby Thumbprint", this pattern was introduced circa 1885, and also appears in 1891 U. S. Glass Company catalogs.
This compote measures 5 inches (12.7 cm) in diameter and 5.25 inches (13.3 cm) tall, and features a leaf, stem, and blossom etching.
The compote is in excellent used condition with no cracks, chips, noticeable scratches, roughness, nor repairs, but is used so there may be minor wear, faint scratches, and other indications of use. The glass is bright and clear with no cloudiness, discoloration, nor lime scale present. There may be bubbles, a shear (straw) mark, and other minor imperfections due to the manufacturing process used at the time.
Small open compote will be shipped from a smoke-free home and will be packed securely for shipping.
Good luck and thank you for your interest.
