You are bidding on a large, very rare original antique print from an 1870s French illustrated journal.
It depicts a Cairn terrier and another dog in with two gigantic lions at the zoo. Presumably they are companions.
It is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture is oval shapped measures about 9.2 x 10.6 inches, with a French caption below. There is unrelated text surrounding the print. which could be trimmed for framing.
The page is in excellent condition for its age.
