    Description

    Classic Hexagonal Butter Bottom with footed base. Manufactured by Gillinder & Sons, Philadelphia PA. circa 1875. The glass is clear with frosting and any colors you see in the photographs are reflections from indoors where I photographed the piece.
    The butter bottom has the mold marks and straw marks and bubbles common in this era of glassware. impression from the mold is nice and sharp. Color and clarity of the glass is excellent.
    Of the six corners at the top two have small chips. The feet are in very nice condition. There are two imperfections at the rim annealing marks or tool marks.
