Up for sale is a CG Conn Gold Plated Trumpet
Serial #217245 - 1924 Vintage
Used – as is condition.
Our service department ultrasonically cleaned the internal tubing and polished the exterior to restore a nice bright gold-plated shine.
This is approximately 10% of the gold plating worn off.
Conn generally stamped a model # on the receiver but this has no model stamping.
Our guess is that this is a Model 22-B.
The valves are solid nickel and have tight air compression.
There is some metal pitting on the 3
rd
valve but you can’t feel any drag in the action.
Please refer to the last photo.  On the leadpipe, before the valve section is a little bit of pink rot.  This is the original leadpipe and with the age of the horn, not uncommon.

Bottom valve caps have Pearl inserts
Includes a good used Conn 4 mouthpiece (not original).
**Missing main tuning slide stop rod and screw**
There is no finger ring or sign of one ever being soldered on when manufactured.
This includes the original case which is still in working order but has a light musty smell.
