    Description

This glass jar measures approximately 4 1/2" tall, 3 1/4" wide at the base, and 2 3/4" wide at the opening. This would have been used as a pickle or jam jar, and would have had a silver plated or glass lid. The jar has three ovals with different scenes, one is a windmill, one is a house, and one is a larger house or castle. This pattern is known as Little River and was made first around 1886 by an unknown maker. This has several chips and some fleabites along the outer lip, where the lid would rest. The inner rim of the opening has some fleabites. I found no other chips or cracks. Please see my pictures, and thanks for looking!
