    Description

Here is a very nice solid 1960 vintage Martin Indiana, serial # 76484.  As you can see on the chart it is a spot on 1960 Vintage Indiana.  This is a ML bore with a .457, at least that is what measures at the tuning slide and middle crook.  She plays like butter, the valves are the exact valves used in the Martin Committee.  The sound is very smokey and jazz like.  This horn comes with all new felts and water corks and a 24k Gold-plated #10 Martin mouthpiece.  Oddly enough, it measures to be a Bach 3 diameter with about a D cup, and a somewhat tighter back-bore than a Bach mouthpiece.  The lacquer is 60 to 70% intact, but no discoloration.  The valves are fast and smooth as silk, all slides are greased and valves oiled, I always used Al Cass Valve oil.  It seems to work the best on Committee valves.  The case is a bit on the rough side but fully functional and is original to the trumpet as is the mouthpiece.  Well if you ever wanted to own a Martin Committee and not pay the large bucks now is your chance!  This is about as close to a Committee your going to get.  Not much else to say except that she plays great!  Thanks and God Bless, PS .. I will entertain reasonable offers !! PS. I'm sorry to have raised the price ..BUT when i see the inferior indiana's that people are asking upwards of 00 It just gets me!!! This is the real deal Indian Head Indiana with the spit keys going along the tubing like the Committee has, also this horn has the same exact valves as the Committee i should know i have one , the valves are totally interchangeable, I'm still taking offers for this authentic Indiana trumpet.
