VINTAGE CAIRN TERRIER PRINT
Lovely antique Cairn Terrier print which was carefully removed from a 1946 book
featuring art by Lucy Dawson.
The print measures approximately 7 by 9.5 inches and is in very good condition - note
light age toning/spotting, light creasing, and there is another print on the reverse side.
Lucy “Mac” Dawson was a preeminent British illustrator famous for her pen and ink, oil, and pastel paintings and etchings of sporting dogs and other breeds. During the height of her career her art was seen on playing cards, cigarette cards, postcard series and in books. The Royal Family was among her most notable clients; she painted the Queen Mother’s Corgi, “Dookie.”
The print will be carefully packaged in a plastic sleeve and shipped between protective cardboard.
